Like even better than the Duo Glider

Review Date: April 11, 2007
Reviewer: Jennifer Schrank,
I was a little nervous about preordering this without seeing it but decided to take the chance. I had the Graco Duo Glider with my first two children which served us well. I gave it away to someone who really needed it and then found I pregnant again! Therefore, I was planning to get the Duo Glider again and then saw this one. This is much more stylish than the Duo Glider and compared to the Duo Glider we had, better features such as:
-two cup holders for the parents, fanny pack attachment for other things
-basket that can be accessed while infant seat in recline
-cup holders for the front toddler seat (rather than the tray that I had to always open and close for my toddler) so he can just get in and out easily
-shocks on the wheels for more comfort (my husband thought this was cool)
- window that can be opened to see into infant seat from above
-storage tray for toddler items under his seat
-better handles for parents

Overall, I really like it and like it even better than the Duo Glider. I was prepared for the weight of the stroller because the Duo Glider is also somewhat heavy. However, I had no problem with the weight of the Duo Glider getting it in and out and the Quattro Duo is comparable in weight. Therefore, if you realize a double stroller is not going to be light, it really is not extraordinarily heavy (and I am no body builder!).

Lastly, I need to comment about Amazon's awesome customer service. Our stroller came to us damaged (the first ever from the many things we have ordered from Amazon) Since I had never returned anything to Amazon, I thought I had to contact Graco for a replacement. Graco's return process was less than stellar...wait 7-10 business days for a return label, then when they receive the damaged stroller they would send out a new one BUT could not even guarantee you would get the same color of stroller you had ordered! After a few days of waiting for the return label, I thought I should at least contact Amazon and see what they could do. So I called them today and they immediately ordered a new stroller to be sent out (ordered today- will get on Monday or Tuesday!!) and are arranging for UPS to pick up the damaged one from my doorstep while the other one is in transit! Obviously, I wish I had called them initially. Thank you Amazon for great customer service!

I have never been so excited about a new gadget. Put it together in ten minutes with the assitance of my very excited toddler. I was getting very impatient waiting for this stroller to come on the market, but couldn't be more pleased that I did. I had researched them all and was going to buy it sight unseen, which made me nervous. Went to a local retailer yesterday and after an instore test drive with my almost 3yr old and my 3 month old bought it immediately. I can't say enough great things about this stroller. Especially as a mom of toddler and infant. It handles like a dream all the bells and whistles are fabulous. Folds like a piece of cake. Which I can't say about my perego. The basket drops down so you can access it without changing the rear seat position. My 3yr old thinks it is the coolest thing ever and she loves the fact that her baby sister is right behind her. Yes it is a little heavy, but I am a small woman and can manage just fine. After all my oldest weighs 28lbs. It is a little longer in person than in the photos - (no big deal) We all went for our first family stroll after dinner last night it was amazing. Handles fantastically over bumpy sidewalks - no need to prop up the srtoller to get over a bump. So STURDY - feel like both my girls are snug and safe. Love that the five point harness is attached to the seat, unlike the perego. Really if you have to children (particularly a baby and toddler) this is the way to go!!!
Best double out there!

I just recieved my stroller yesterday and I am in absolute LOVE with it. It folds up easily and is very compact when folded up, a LOT smaller than the Duo Glider, which barely fit in the back of Jeep Grand Cherokee. I love the fact that the back seat can be turned into a carriage type thing so the little one can lay down, it creates an enclosed space so they can't fall out. I love the fact that it has TWO sunshades which are actually way bigger than the picture shows. It handles like a dream! Even better than my single Quattro Tour. It was easy to put together as well, took around 10 minutes. My toddler loves is, the front seat is great for her because she can climb in and out of it on her own. I love the cup holders for the front seat and the handles because I can hang things off it (like sand pails and bags). I just wish this one came with a warm weather boot and a temperature tracker with the time as well. Oh well!

Definitely the BEST double stroller out there, and the nicest looking as well. My husband didn't mind pushing it around.
Love it!!!!

I dissagree with the recent posts that it is hard to steer, actually it is the easiest stroller to steer that I have ever had (I have had many). I can walk around the mall one handed while talking on the phone!!! It is smooth and has great shocks too. I LOVE this thing. I never have written a review, but this thing is too great not to.
BEST Stroller EVER!

I starting researching duo strollers as soon as we found out I was expecting baby #2. After reading reviews and "test driving" tons- we picked the Quattro Tour and LOVE it! The back seat is where we are currently putting our new baby- still in her car seat while our extremely hyperactive, inquistivie, independent 2 1/2 year old rides in the front. Because he has his own cup holders and can get in and out he feels like a big boy, and actually sits down to ride in it without arguements. The cup holders all detach as well for easy clean up. Additionally, when the back seat is reclined it makes a "bassinet" for the baby to ride in which makes a perfect "changing table" when your out and about and stuck without a restroom. It steers so easily and while it is a little heavy, if you can carry those insanely heavy/awkward baby car seats- the stroller shouldn't be an issue. It collapses with one hand (really-it's not one of those that says it's one-handed collapse and then you have to fight with it, you can collapse it with one hand) on its wheels to push into the trunk.
I read the negative reviews and really don't know what they are talking about! I don't want to offend anyone, but they must have just had bad luck because this stroller is awesome! This stroller has so many options I'm still playing with it! I highly reccomend this stroller- totally worth the extra money!!!
I'm so glad I waited!! I love this stroller!

I have been in the market for a double stroller for a while, my kids are 2 1/2 and 7 months. I previously purchased an older duoglider from a garage sale and hated it. I did the research, then visited the stores for a test drive. I decided I wanted a side by side umbrella type, because it would have a smaller fold and weighed less. I was willing to compromise on the storage and other extras because I was trying to save money. I tried the Combi twin and the Jeep (because of the low cost). I seriously considered ordering the Chicco Citta Twin (sight unseen) because of the storage, lower price and good reviews online. However my wise husband pointed out that I really like having the large storage underneath and cupholders on my single Graco. He also reminded me that if I'm going to spend the money I should get something that I love, not something that will just make do. He test drove the Graco DuoGlider (the Quattro Tour wasn't available yet) and said I should get that one instead. I agreed and almost bought it then (end of March) but decided to do some more research and get the best price online. My first reaction to the new Quattro Tour Duo was negative and dismissive. I thought it looked too trendy or futuristic and the price was more than I thought I should be spending. Still I waited and read the trickle of reviews, mostly positive. At some point I talked myself into getting the Quattro Tour Duo Stroller and I'm so glad I did. I purchased it from a local baby specialty store. They had 4 arrive and 4 people on the waiting list. People can't wait to get this thing... and I have one!! This is such a Mom Moment but it's like having a shiny new car and wanting to show it off. My older son loves to climb in and out of the front seat. He sat in it for an hour eating snacks from the snack cup and having some fantastic pretend adventure. Here's what to expect:
PROs
-Easy to assemble.
-Truly a one-handed fold, with secure latch so it stays folded when your lifting it.
-Ample storage.
-Cup holders for everyone!! One for each parent if needed.
-Versatile handbars. Suited for me (5'2") or my husband (6'2"). The vertical handles help when lifting.
-Material is easy to clean.
-Drives very smoothly. Easy turning. I don't have to put my weight behind it to make it move.
-Fits easily in my Sienna- it takes up 1/2 of the rear storage area when folded and standing upright. I still have plenty of room for groceries.
-Rear child sits slightly higher than front (think stadium seating).
-Rear snack tray lifts for ease of getting child in or out.

CONs
-Heavy (And it should be, it's a double stroller. It's sturdy and I don't have to worry about my kids' safety).
-Front cup/snack holders are hard to remove for washing.
-The seat belts aren't anything special. I really liked the T-shaped padded seat belt on my single Graco.
-Pay special attention when applying brake, make sure it's locked before the front child climbs out.

Bottomline: Take my husband's advice "If you're going to spend the money, get something you love and not something that will just make do". I love this stroller!
Even my tall 3 year old loves it....

After many research and reading many reviews, I went ahead and ordered Quattro Tour Duo Stroller Ionic. I was scared at first since I haven't seen this stroller in local stores but it was worth it. I just put it together myself last night (I'm 7 months pregnant) and it was a breeze. I thought the front seat might be too small for my 3 year old son since he's taller than average, but it wasn't. I wouldn't recommend using the front seat if your toddler is over weight though. I test strolled around the block and it was easy to maneuver because of the design of the handle. The stroller itself is very sturdy and very chic. I showed it to my mother-in-law and even she can't wait to push the kids around in it because it looks and feel so good. I've seen the Glider version in stores and since I've been pregnant with my second, I see that every where but I didn't like the way it look and I have to say Quattro Duo looks way better. Of course the Glider seems longer and bigger but Quattro Duo has plenty of room for two and storage. The design of the back seat, I could definitely lay my baby down safe and secure. And it's easy to fold too. I can't wait for the baby to come. I don't know why people were complaining....what do they expect? Its double stroller meant to be sturdy and safe for two kids, so you can't expect it to fold into an umbrella stroller size and be feather weight. If you have a perfectly good double stroller, then why buy another double stroller and compare the price?
ROLLS ROYCE OF DOUBLE STROLLERS

I just took this out for a drive yesterday! My 3 year old loved it and it even has a feature I was unaware of for my newborn. The back seat turns into a cradle so she does not have to be in that uncomfortable car seat all the time. The handles are really nice for pushing and there fanny pack is perfect for my wallet, cell phone and lip gloss. The stroller is really heavy but I could use the workout! It also looks great so it serves my vanity. (I bought the mulan color from a different website.)
For the price this stroller is perfect!

As a mom of twins I love this stroller. I was looking for a stroller that wasn't expensive, that easily fit through doors and was a good qulity. This stroller is all of that and more.

I had a Peg Perego Tender and I hated it! Compared to the Graco Quattro Tour Duo the Peg Perego was too large, bulky and heavy. I also have a BOB Revolution Duo stroller that I use for walks -- but for everything else I use this stroller.

The Quattro Tour Duo is super easy to just put the twins in their seat and go. Each seat has a five point harness which adjusts simple so that you can also use it as a three point harness. Many times when in a hurry I just buckle the twins with the three point harness and they are still safe in their seats. From just looking at the stroller I was worried that the twin sitting in the front seat may slide out -- but after many uses that has not even come close to happening. The stroller folds up easily and in seconds which is a wonderful feature. But even folded it still takes up a a lot of space in the back of my SUV -- however any double stoller is going to take up space. I was also worried about the weight of the stroller and have not at all found it to be a problem. It's simple to lift in and out of my car and I am a smaller framed person. This stroller is perfect!
Love the stroller, Loved the Amazon experiance

OK, so we have two kids in diapers... fun fun fun... and getting a Graco Quattro Tour Duo was a great way of managing both our balls of energy, on our eventful outings.

The Good: The stroller is very well constructed, smooth to operate and maneuvers rather nicely. Maneuverability was important to us as my wife I kinda smallish and was not sure is she could move in and out of isles on those 'important runs to the mall' with ease. I don't know if I should be happy or sad, but she can. In addition to maneuverability I like the origami aspect of the stroller, which has it neatly fold into something you can stuff in the back if your car. Our kids don't seem to mind being strapped in it and my daughter seems to think once she's strapped in, she can command either parent to push the stroller wherever her little heart desires - only works with the grandparents

The Bad: it's heavy... OK once the nice little origami thing happens; you gotta lift the sucker and keep it in your car. Plus it takes up quite a bit of room, when folded. Now, that may be a good thing, given that it cuts into the space my wife would otherwise use for shopping bags.

Bottom Line: As expected from Graco, we're very happy over all. Once we compared it with what else was out there, we think we made the right decision.

ABOUT AMAZON... We brought the stroller and it had an issue where it was sticking when we tried to close it. Instead of messing with it, we wanted it changed. I opened the website and clicked on the link where Amazon call's you... loved it. They not only did, but were so helpful that they sent the replacement overnight - at no charge. Now we have the new stroller and the other one it on its bay back to Amazon on their dime. I thought I would have to roll my sleeves back to do the exchange, but their willingness has made me a believer. Thank you Amazon.
Worth the money...

I love this stroller. With a new baby on the way and a small toddler who tires easily on our long walk to the park we had to have a double. The duo glider was to long to fit in my saturn trunk so we ordered this and waited on the promis from graco customer service it would fit. We have had a quattro tour deluxe single for 3 years and have loved it. We love this just as much. It is very tall 20 inches when folded up 5inches taller then the quattro tour single but it does fit in our trunk easily esspecialy when put in upside down which is how my husband has always but all strollers in the car since DD was born. It handles awsome just as nice as the single and the shocks are great too. The pp that said it handled poorly and did not turn well I think may have forgot to unlock the front wheels because ours turns great and on gravel, grass, sand at the beach and pavement. I have never had the duo glider to compair the two except that it did not fit in my car at BRU and this does. If trunk space is an issue and you want a stroller that the infant carrier fits in this is very worth the price but I would say it was worth the price just for the handling and the way it monuvers.
There is no perfect double stroller-but this comes close!

Reviewer: G. Spires,
We want it all, don't we? Enough room for our babies, but not too bulky. Compact fold, but some want it thin and some short. We want all the bells and whistles, but not too heavy. The point is, there is no perfect stroller out there to meet everyone's needs. I think this stroller comes as close as possible, though.
PROS:
Very easy to maneuver, great in stores and on walks.
Roomy enough without feeling huge.
Excellent storage.(In my opinion, a priceless feature)
Extremely easy to fold.
Super stylish. I have Milan, and I get SO many compliments on the pattern.
Optional seating-you can put the carseat either front or back, or use the carriage.
CONS:
Heavy. Time to build some muscles.
Overall a great stroller in my opinion. Definitly worth the wait and the price.
The best double stroller on the market. we love it!

Reviewer: S. Kim,
After reading the reviews and reluctantly we bought the stroller. I am glad we didn't listen to those naysayers. It was the best decision we made because the stroller is wonderful. The comments people wrote about how the stroller is awkward and heavy is a bunch of rubbish. Yes, the stroller is heavier than its predecessors but they fail to mention how sturdy it is. We've had the stroller for 2 weeks and we hike up some hilly mountains (Stanford Dish if you are from Palo Alto) and it rides smoothly. It gives me comfort that the stroller is well built and protecting our two daughters (2 year old and 4 weeks old enfant). I feel secure that the stroller will not fall apart after a few rides like its predecessor. Also, we love the capabilities, spring shocks for a smooth ride, shorter so we can navigate through some tight corners and it is not awkwardly long like the other double strollers. We have a Toyota Sienna and it fits just fine in our back trunk.

As for the weight. Yes, it is heavier but come on, it is not "10" times heavier. People exaggerate too much. If you are accustom to carrying your 30 pound toddler in your arms, then the stroller is nothing. People are too much of a wimp. It is slightly heavier than its predecessors but not by much. They made it heavier because the load baring bar is what keeps the stroller steady and sturdy. Gives me peace of mind that my precious asset in life (my two daughters) are protected.

The only recommendation is that the back two wheels could squeak which can be annoying. Just use Silicone spray and they all went away. We've been through rain, dirt, and hot sun with this stroller and we've been so happy with it. I highly recommend purchasing it. but make sure you have a truck, mini-van, or SUV. I am not sure if a standard vehicle can house such a stroller. But I figured if you have two toddler/enfants, you may consider getting a bigger car.
Best Twin Stroller on the Market

I can't say enough great things about this stroller. My twins are 14 months now and we needed an upgrade from our PegPerego Tender (worst stroller ever made). The Quattro is amazing with it's 6 cup/snack holders, plenty of storage underneath, and a fantastic little pouch on top that can hold my wallet, cell phone, and car keys perfectly. I am in love with this stroller. I went to the store to buy the Duo Glider. Boy am I happy with this choice. On top of it, Amazon has THE best price. It was at my home within 5 days of purchasing it for $213.48. The retail value anywhere else is $229, plus tax, plus shipping. I love Amazon and would definately buy from here again. I was at the park this week, cruising around with our new ride, and 3 moms came up and asked me about the stroller. I think I made 3 sales in the park. They were impressed. So what if it weighs 39 lbs. My twins together weigh over 40 and I often have to pick them up together. Unless you are lugging this thing upstairs, weight is not an issue.
Best double stroller for Disney!

I had looked and looked for a double stroller. I have a 2 year old and was expecting my second child. Not one store in my town had a double stroller for a "test drive." So, I researched and purchased this Graco at amazon. Before the baby came, we were in Disney World with my 2 year old and my sister's 2 year old. Thankfully, we already had this stroller. It steered like a dream through all of the Disney crowds. Both boys had plenty of room, and actually enjoyed riding in it. It folds up nicely, and really isn't much bigger in our van than the single stroller. It didn't even seem like we had over 70 pounds of children in the stroller!! Overall, a GREAT stroller!
